Thanks to Wil and all her 'little helpers' for another tremendous event held in April. Mad Hatters, caterpillers, rabbits, doormice, blancmange, jelly and lots and lots of tea. a wonderful afternoon thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended
Don't forget the fund raising Coffee Monring on Saturday 16th March - The Church Hall aka Green Hut aks Tin Tabernacle, Station Road, Whitacre Heath from 10.30am - Tea, Coffe, Scrumy Cakes, tombola and chat! Come and join us
What a tremendous fund raising event - Wil's Soup Kitchen raised in excess of £500 - people came from far and wide to partake of delicious home made soups and sweets, whilst being entertained by a fiddler and various 'tramp characters'. There was standing room only, at one point in the afternoon and some folks even set up camp outside in the wintery sunshine! An enormous thank you to all those who donated their time, cooking skills and energy to the day as well as to the many who turned up and donated so generously. The biggest thanks of all goes to Wil - without her boundless energy and sense of fun the day would not have been half the success it was.
A nice clear Sunday allowed St. Giles to show off Harvest both inside as usual and specially outside this year. With the reminders of harvest and farm work going on all around the village, worshippers could not fail to miss the newly restored Allis Chalmers tractor looking resplendent in its new coat of orange paint. Inside the window displays were designed to wow by all who admired them.
